Inboxd is a web app that helps you manage Gmail using chat. You can connect one or more Gmail accounts, search and summarize emails, and draft replies. You always confirm before anything is sent.
What we collect
Account info: your email address and basic profile info from Auth0 (used to identify your Inboxd account).
Gmail connection tokens: when you connect Gmail, Google provides tokens that let Inboxd access Gmail on your behalf.
Chat content: messages you send in the app and the assistant’s responses.
Operational logs: basic request logs to keep the service reliable (for example, error messages and request IDs).
What we do not collect
Your Gmail password: we never see it. Google handles authentication.
Your Auth0 password: if you use email/password login, Auth0 handles it.
How we use your data
To run the app (connect accounts, search mail, draft replies, and send only with confirmation).
To prevent abuse and keep the service reliable (debugging and monitoring).
To improve the product (for example, understanding what features are used most).
Third parties
Inboxd relies on third-party services to function:
Auth0 (login)
Google (Gmail authorization and Gmail API)
OpenAI (assistant responses / ChatKit)
Google Cloud (hosting)
Your choices
Disconnect Gmail: you can remove a connected Gmail account from the Accounts page. You can also revoke access from your Google Account security settings.
Stop using Inboxd at any time. If you want your account deleted, contact us.
Data retention
We keep data only as long as needed to operate the app. Some logs may be retained for a limited time for reliability and security.
Security
We restrict access to production systems and credentials. No system is perfect, but we aim to follow good security practices and minimize what we store.
